Newsletter July 2018

This month we reveal our Charity Dog Show and look at how you can keep your dog cool
Heatwaves & Hot... dogs!

Careful what you wish for....
If, like us, you have spent the last 10 months praying for some amazing weather. You may now be cursing it for being too nice.

A dog overheating should be every dog owners nightmare when temperatures start getting in to the late 20℃'s. They lose their appetite, can't go for walkies during the day, pant when getting up to fetch a gulp of water and go find the coolest place in the house. Generally a tiled/vinyl kitchen or bathroom floor.

Here are some suggestions to help you look after your pup...
Dog Cool Coat

Extremely popular in this heatwave and very well made with the following features and benefits:
  • Activated by soaking in water
  • Mesh construction allows good airflow enhancing the cooling effect like a wearing a wet t-shirt
  • Reduces temperature of your dog by 6-12℃
  • Rear leg loops to keep the back of the coat in place
  • Means you can take your dog out in the day
Look out for the larger sizes we have ordered in for this week to enhance the range
Dog Cooling Mat

Extremely popular and very well made with the following features and benefits:
  • Activated by the heat of the dog - no water or freezing required!
  • Cools dogs effectively when laying on it
  • Easy to clean
Hemp Triple Knot Rope for dogs

Not as random as it may seem...
  1. Soak it in cold water
  2. Put in freezer until frozen
  3. Give to your panting pooch
  4. Enjoy watching them play
  5. Welcome the appreciation you will get with lots of tail wags

Another one that is not as random as it may seem...

Not quite as effective as the cooling coat above, but dog robes can also be soaked in cold water and put on your dog to have a cooling effect too.

The patented design means they are super thin AND super absorbent - the best and most versatile dog robe on the market. Just make sure you keep it damp or your dog will overheat.

Also available in several colours, these truly are something you can use all year round!
